Grand Forks/East Grand Forks Travel Model Update

Completed March 2007
ATAC completed a major update of GF/EGF MPO's Regional Travel Model to account for transportation and socio-economic changes since the previous model update. The update also included an upgrade of the model software from Citilab's Tranplan to TP+, a more powerful modeling software. ATAC also converted all of the model network and other data into a GIS platform allowing a more flexible interface for making changes. The updated model was calibrated to 2005 conditions and has since been used to support long-range transportation plans in the GF/EGF region.

User Cost Analysis of Main Ave. Reconstruction in Fargo

Completed October 2003
ATAC assisted the NDDOT in estimating user costs for the Main Avenue construction project in Fargo. Main Ave. in Fargo is a major arterial which carries close to 30,000 vehicles per day. Therefore, the Main Ave construction is expected to have significant impacts on traffic in the metropolitan area. The analysis utilized the Fargo-Moorhead Council of Government's (FM-COG) travel demand model to estimate changes in travel time for a modified network to reflect the speed and lane configurations in place during the construction.
